COMMUNITY

Here at Resound, we love that we’re surrounded by the wonderful areas of Emersons Green, Mangotsfield, and Downend. We run and host many regular and one off events that are open to members of our local community. They’re always lots of fun, so do come along to whatever takes your fancy! If you’d like to hear more about any of the following events, head to the diary page, or drop the office an email and they’ll be able to provide more details.

FOODBANK

Resound is an outlet of North Bristol & South Glos. Foodbanks provide three days of nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

There are also a range of community projects that members of the Resound family are part of, you can join them by getting involved directly, giving financially, or committing to pray for the teams.

STREET PASTORS

Bristol Street Pastors is a local charity operating under the oversight of the Ascension Trust. Street Pastors are volunteers, who – after extensive training – go out in teams to offer care and support to those who need it.

WILD GOOSE CAFE

Run by inHope, The Wild Goose Day Centre offers meals, hope and support to anyone experiencing insecurities such as hunger or homelessness. The hot meals and practical help offered give people hope at their point of crisis, whilst ongoing support means that they are championed to rebuild their lives.

PARENT BUDDIES

Parent Buddies are trained volunteers who offer parents, grandparents and carers short term, informal and confidential support. Parent Buddies want to empower parents through one-to-one listening support, to help them provide the best chances in life for their children. Parents can either self-refer or be referred through agencies.
