Who We Are
Welcome to Resound!
We are a community in Bristol dedicated to making a positive impact both spiritually and practically. Our aim is to serve as a welcoming church that fosters spiritual growth and a thriving community hub that supports local families and individuals.
At Resound Church, we gather to explore faith, worship together, and build meaningful relationships. We believe in creating a space where everyone feels valued and can grow in their journey with God.
Through the Resound Community Hub, we offer vital services such as a food bank, community cafe, toddler group, and holiday support, aiming to meet the needs of our local community with compassion and care.
We are a registered charity, Registered Charity No. 294924, a Woodlands Associate church and part of the Pioneer Network.
Whether you're looking for a place to worship, seeking community support, or simply curious about what we do, Resound is here for you!
Our Vision
Our vision at Resound is to be a place where people belong to a community, become more like Jesus and build God's kingdom.
In the next few years, our priorities in realising our vision are:
Pursuing God's presence, with worship as the gateway, fuelled by prayer.
Pursuing a deeper understanding of God, through learning, exploration and discussion.
Pursuing God's heart for our community- Resound becoming a community hub.
What We Believe
At Resound, we are a community that has formed over many decades with people from all sorts of different church backgrounds. We don’t have a formal statement of faith because we want anyone to feel that Resound can be their spiritual home, irrespective of where they are on their faith journey, and because we are committed to learning and exploring faith together, in the context of community.
In 2024, we asked the people of Resound what they think about God. Based on those responses, here are the statements for which we were most strongly in agreement:
There is one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God is omniscient (all knowing), omnipotent (all powerful), and omnipresent (everywhere at the same time).
Jesus was entirely without sin.
Jesus Christ was both fully God and fully man.
The Holy Spirit provides spiritual gifts to believers to build up the church, even today.
Human beings are made in the image of God (Imago Dei).
There is nothing that we can do to earn salvation.
In an Eternal Life, there will be no more suffering.
